Mumbles RFC are hosting two events as follows :
On Sunday 4th May, Red Eyed Fly are performing from 4.00 to 6.00 p.m.
Red-Eyed Fly are a 4-piece rhythm & blues band based in South Wales, playing a mix of stuff from Bullmoose Jackson to Corey Harris to originals and anything in between. Individually they've all been round the block a few times in various guises, and as a band they've been together for about a year.
Band members: Mike Bird, lead vocals, guitar and harmonica; Carl Harvey, drums and percussion; Richard Eason, guitar and backing vocals; and Rob Davies, bass guitar and backing vocals.
More details can be found on Myspace
On Monday 5th May, Virgil & The Acclerators are performing from 4.00 to 6.00 p.m.
Virgil & The Accelerators, are a sensational blues band who blew away a sell-out audience on the final day of last years' Tenby Blues Festival.
Fronted by the extraordinarily talented 16yr old lead guitarist Virgil McMahon, much attention is currently being focussed on this four piece powerhouse blues act from Aberystwyth. The UK blues press are unanimously predicting a great future for Virgil who is being nurtured and backed by The Accelerators.
Originally formed by Hugh Morgan (guitar and harp) and Virgil's dad Hendry (bass and vocals), The Accelerators have recently been joined by top ex-London session and virtuouso performance drummer, Geoff Cox, whose own work includes stints with some of the greats of USA and UK jazz.
Tickets for each event cost just £3 each.
